Living in California

Nurses working in California have access to the micro-climates of mountains, deserts, and beaches, all generally within driving distance. It is possible to ski in the morning and surf the Pacific in the afternoon. California has a vibrant cultural community from museums, symphonies and art galleries. There are 11 major league sports teams, numerous renowned parks and zoos, vineyards and 21 Spanish missions. Outdoor activities such as golf on top world ranked courses, para-sailing, boating, roller-blading, snow and water skiing to mention just a few.

California is home to such enduring landmarks as the Golden Gate Bridge, Coronado Island, J. Paul Getty Museum, the William Hearst Mansion, Redwood Forests, Alcatraz, Highway 101, the Pacific Coast Highway from San Diego to Crescent City, Death Valley, Napa & Sonoma are just a small sampling of the great places to see in California.
